Lei Jiaqiong, PhD, professor, from Qionglai, Sichuan. Member of the Professional Committee of Fiscal History Research of the Chinese Society of Finance, peer review expert of the National Social Science Fund, Bao Yugang Leading Scholar of Ningbo University, and executive deputy editor-in-chief of the Journal of Ningbo University (Humanities Edition). She graduated from Southwest Normal University (now Southwest University), Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (now University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences), and Fudan University. From 2008 to 2014, she served as the history editor at the Chinese Social Sciences Editorial Office. In December 2016, she was awarded the National Scholarship for Doctoral Students, and in June 2018, she was awarded the title of Shanghai Outstanding Graduate Student. In 2021, she won the second prize of the 21st Excellent Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences of Zhejiang Province, and the first prize of the 17th (2019-2020) Excellent Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences of Ningbo City. Her main research areas are the modern and contemporary fiscal history and social history of China.
Ongoing projects: a General Project of the National Social Science Fund: "Research on the Establishment and Operation of Modern Chinese Inheritance Tax System" (20BZS086); Zhejiang Provincial Key Research Base Project of Philosophy and Social Sciences: "The Introduction of Western Fiscal System and the Economic and Social Transformation of Modern Zhejiang" (20JDZD032); Zhejiang Cultural Research Project: "Chronology of Famous Merchants in Ningshao in Modern Times: Chronology of Huang Chujiu" (20WH60069ZD-5Z). Many papers have been published in journals such as Chinese Social Sciences, Modern History Research, Social Science Front, Fudan Journal, Shilin, Minguo Research, Anhui History and so on.
Course teaching: China's modern and contemporary research, modern Chinese economic history, and the history of the development of modern Chinese disciplines.
