Xiao Ping, a male professor at Ningbo University, is a master's supervisor and the Director of the Dialect and Culture Research Center within the School of Humanities and Media. Between 2017 and 2019, he served as a core expert in the Chinese Language Resources Protection Project under the Ministry of Education and the State Language Commission. He is also a peer reviewer for the National Social Science Fund project bulletin. His primary academic focus lies in the field of Chinese language teaching and dialectology, where he has successfully led numerous national and provincial-ministerial level projects. To date, he has authored or co-authored six books, including "A Study of Jiangxi Wucheng Dialect Phonetics" and "Yuyao Dialect Annals," and has published dozens of scholarly articles, many of which have been republished in prominent journals such as "Renmin University of China's Language and Philology." He contributed to the compilation of the textbook "General Theory of Chinese" (Higher Education Press, 2012). Professor Xiao Ping has been recognized with honors such as Key High-Level Talents by the Ningbo Municipal People's Government, Academic Leaders of Young and Middle-aged Universities in Zhejiang Province, and the "China Language Resources Protection Award · Advanced Individual" by the Ministry of Education. His work "A Study of Jiangxi Wucheng Dialect Phonetics" received the Third Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences of Zhejiang Province.
